CONDITIONS OF HIRE The hiring contract is between the Holidaymaker and Mr & Mrs E J Hall Trading as Holiday in Whitby and shall be deemed to be made Subject to the Conditions of Hire herein.
INITIAL PAYMENT Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit payment. Deposit payment is £100.00. If the booking is made within 56 days of the commencement of the holiday, then full payment is required.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT The balance of the holiday booking will be due 56 days prior to the commencement of the holiday date. Holiday in Whitby reserve the right to cancel a holiday when payment is not received at least 28 days before commencement date.
VALUE ADDED TAX There is no VAT applicable on our holidays at the current time.
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING The holidaymaker is responsible for the total quoted price of the booking and any extras as shown on the confirmation once the confirmation has been issued by Holiday in Whitby.
BOOKING CANCELLATION The Holidaymaker is strongly advised to make their own direct arrangements for Holiday Cancellation and Curtailment Protection Insurance with an insurance company of their choice. Provided written notice of cancellation is received by Holiday in Whitby not less than 10 weeks before the commencement of the holiday date, holidaymakers will loose their deposits but not be held liable to pay the full balance of the holiday booking if Holiday in Whitby is successful in re-selling the holiday. If, however, Holiday in Whitby is not successful in re-selling, the holidaymaker will be liable for the full amount. If cancellation is notified within 10 weeks of the commencement of the holiday date, the holidaymaker will be liable to pay the full balance of the holiday booking unless Holiday in Whitby are successful in re-selling the holiday. Any refund made will be subject to an administration charge of £40 plus VAT in favour of Holiday in Whitby plus any expenses incurred by the company in accepting a late booking where, for example, a discount has been deemed necessary in order to secure a replacement booking. In all instances, cancellations must be notified immediately in writing to Holiday in Whitby .Class Post.
AMENETIES Every care is taken to ensure that accommodation is suitable as described and it is expected that all holidaymakers exercise caution, and provide adequate supervision, where necessary, to prevent injury or damage.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS Personal belongings are at the holidaymakers risk at all times.
PARTY SIZE Under no circumstances should the party size be more than stated by the company.
HOLIDAYMAKERS RESPONSIBILITIES The holiday maker is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of the same. All equipment, utensils etc should be left clean at the end of the stay.
DAMAGES All damages and breakages are the legal responsibility of the holidaymaker and such costs shall be refundable on demand.
